Praise Reports Surgery, chemo and radiation treatments are finally over and I can begin some important life changes. Thank you for the time you took to lift me up to God. Thank you for the power and action that was consequently released from heaven. Worship at SCC became a crucial component to my healing and well being, and I appreciate all that I learned while I sang and worshipped with you. Through the people of Seaport, God drew me to Him, covered me with His feathers, and gave me refuge beneath His wings. Through the Holy Spirit present at SCC, I discovered Yahweh, mighty God who is never changing, never daunted by cancer, always trustworthy. As Max Lucado puts it, our God is "uncaused. Since no act brought him forth, no act can take him out. Does he fear an earthquake? Does he tremble at a tornado? Hardly. Yahweh sleeps through storms and calms the winds with a word. He who placed a billion stars in our galaxy and 100 billion galaxies in the universe" is also a personal, watchful shepherd, "mind-numbingly mighty, yet able to come softly in the night and touch us with the tenderness of an April snow." Thank you, |
