Membership

Membership is important here at Seaport. To become a member of Seaport, you must first complete School of Vision, read the book “Our Faith & Fellowship,” read our Constitution and Bylaws, make out an application, come in for a Pastoral Interview and then be approved by our Board of Deacons for membership.

Formal membership at Seaport brings many privileges and responsibilities including:

  • In the event of a vacancy of the Pastor or Deacons, you are able to vote on a replacement.
  • Ministry Directorships are only available to members.
  • When the church decides to purchase property, you have a voice.
  • It enables you to have a voice in how the church's money is used.
  • If the church or pastor should begin to go wrong doctrinally, morally or philosophically you can help prohibit it.
  • Only members have a voice at the Annual Business Meeting.
  • Membership is a way of demonstrating further commitment to God's Kingdom.
