Children’s and Family Ministry at Seaport is about empowering the next generation to fulfill Christ’s command to win souls and make disciples!
Children's Ministry is provided for children from babies through 5th grade. Seaport's "not-so-secret" secret is that we want your children to have such a good time here that they harass you to bring them back!
But fun is just a small part of it. Jesus is alive and real and we want your child to have their very own relationship with Him. We want your child to really know Him, not just know about Him.
George Barna, in his book Transforming Children into Spiritual Champions, discusses the importantce of training our children. "During their formative years, children develop their decision-making perspectives and patterns. Helping them in that process is one of the most important responsibilities we have as humans; engaging them at a young age is a critical strategic choice. Jesus' teaching in the opening verses of Matthew 18 suggests that if we, as parents and counselors to the young, lose our interest in and sensitivity to children, we have shirked on of the most important duties given by God to humankind."
